Dr. Wood is a highly trained ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma care, dedicated to helping patients improve their vision and quality of life. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, before advancing to Texas A&M College of Medicine for his medical degree. Following medical school, Dr. Wood completed his Ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas, where he gained comprehensive training in eye care. He furthered his expertise in glaucoma by completing a fellowship with renowned specialists Dr. Gulbas and Dr. Gallardo at El Paso Eye Surgeons, where he honed his skills in advanced glaucoma treatments.

Originally from Denison, Texas, Dr. Wood enjoys a variety of personal interests outside of his medical practice. He is an avid tennis player, loves grilling, and has a unique hobby of collecting board games, with a collection of over 100 games! Dr. Wood values spending time with his family, and you can often find him playing board games with his loved ones. Dr. Wood’s journey in ophthalmology is not just about his career—it’s about making a real impact on his patients’ lives. Dr. Wood met his wife, Sarah, while they were both in Lubbock, Texas, where she worked as a critical care RN. After three years together, they married, and they continue to build a life in North Texas.
