Dr. Lehman earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hardin-Simmons University and was named Summa Cum Laude. He graduated with Honors from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in College Station, Texas, and completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. His Cornea & Refractive Surgery Fellowship took place at Dean McGee and he also studied at the Eye Instituted in Oklahoma City.
Going on to become Chief Resident at Scott & White Ophthalmology, Dr. Lehman has also served as vice president of The College of Medicine, vice president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at Hardin-Simmons University, and was captain of the Hardin-Simmons tennis team.
Dr. Lehan is involved with the following professional associations: Cornea Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Medical Association, American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, and the Christian Ophthalmology Society.
He grew up on a farm near Vernon, Texas and graduated salutatorian from Vernon High School. While in college, he earned his private pilot’s license. Besides spending time with his family — wife, Jessica and children, Luke, Abigail and Samuel. — Dr. Lehman spends his free time playing tennis, running, hiking, playing violin, and soaring through the skies. He is passionate about serving patients and people, and has taken numerous mission trips throughout his adult life.
